Ford chooses Malmö for the Swedish market

Having previously used several different ports for its distribution of vehicles in Sweden, Ford is now going down to two, one of which is Copenhagen Malmö Port.

The decision to base part of its Vehicle Holding Center (VHC) in Malmö will bring a fourfold increase in volume from Ford for CMP, which has been handling Ford’s vehicles since 2011.

“The fact that Ford is choosing to further step up its activities at CMP shows that our focus on high quality and good facilities for customers is producing results. Our employees are deeply committed to providing the customer with the very best solution. The quality on display at CMP has become a byword in the industry,” says Johan Ullenby, COO at CMP.

“Our work to enhance CMP’s brand for vehicle operations continues, and Ford’s continued concentration at CMP is a clear indication that our strategy is the right one. Our aim is to be the leading hub for vehicle logistics in Scandinavia, which is why we are naturally extremely delighted that Ford is continuing to increase the proportion of vehicles at CMP,” says Johan Röstin, CEO at CMP.
